Flowers from Alum Market on our Beltline this Fall….and when the flowers dried up, I got all the seeds~
Bad Hens…..
New Rose Garden this earlier Summer……

My beautiful picture
Looking to the East one morning….
Thanksgiving setting….
One of a very few Nautical paintings…..watercolor.

this is an oil obviously.
Autumn coming
Bullfrogs bellow a different pitch
Autumn’s fast approaching.
And though they soak in a rocky pond
Summer’s heat they can’t escape.
Full moon reflects in half-sunk eyes
Perhaps fish mistake the moons of Mars
And in their algaed depth by night
They travel the cosmos past the stars.

Nice photos! Why are the hens bad? I like the poem a lot. The rhythm and cadence is superb and the rhymes in the last stanza really add to the poem.

They were mucking up the seats….bad hens! The poem…thanks, Toni. when I read it outloud to myself I had to make some changes….reading outloud is so important to poetry and I don’t do it enough!

For some reason I didn’t scroll down far enough and saw the rest only after I posted the first comment. I love the poem, it’s really good. And I adore the oil still life!

I don’t either. But I really dislike reading my poetry aloud. I write it in my mind before I ever commit it to “paper”. I’m just a mental kind of girl.

Well, Hurricane Irma visited us…just the winds and the rain and it did some damage. But that’s part of Nature, neh? Thanks, Petru.

Thank you, Petru. I’m glad you liked the poem! and the oil? One of my very first attempts at oil. The gesso wasn’t …it was house primer…lol…and it has crazed…but that is ok. I like that one, too. Thanks, sweetie!

I especially liked the second stanza where the fish see better than we do even blocked by algae. The first photo is beautiful with the flowers against the stained glass leaves.

Hi Frank~ I was trying to find my poems that would at least reference Fall, but I thought something short would work here. Trying to attach more fall pix. Thank you for your lovely comment.
