Fred got off work early and we trapped Soffia in a laundry basket and took her to “For Pet’s Sake”. The only wildlife vet we know. Thank you all for the recommendations.
We don’t know if she will survive….but we are hopeful.
Such a beautiful bird, white and black feathers…We think probably a Cooper’s Hawk, but a young one.

Me, too, Sherry. She is stunningly beautiful and even if she was ugly….she deserves to live.

Thank you, Toni. You wouldn’t believe the dissing I got from a certain quarter for even caring. But I guess you would know, too. It is so disheartening that such evil exists amongst us. Thank you.

Will you keep in touch with the vet? Please let us know? I’m somewhat in touch with an animal-rescue organisation close by where I live. One’s heart goes out to each and every one. Every success story is cause for celebration.

Thank you, Petru. I certainly will. I will call in about an hour when they open to see if “Soffia” made it through the night. Than you so much. Yes, our hearts go out to these lovely birds….
